Role Overview
As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for managing and delivering hydrogeological and environmental projects. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, analyse, and implement solutions for groundwater-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage hydrogeological assessments, groundwater resource evaluations, and contamination investigations.
- Technical Expertise: Conduct hydrogeological modelling, groundwater monitoring, and data analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Reporting: Prepare high-quality technical reports, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and risk assessments.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing expert advice and ensuring satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with local and international environmental standards.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
Requirements
- A degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in hydrogeology or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in groundwater modelling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and GIS tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Proven ability to manage projects and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
