Senior Energy Engineer

A leading Irish consultancy is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to join its Energy team in Cork, Dublin, or Carlow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Energy and Planning division while working closely with industry professionals.

The company specializes in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment, Energy, and Planning, providing services such as environmental studies, planning, preliminary design, and contract management for infrastructure projects. These include roads, greenways, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy developments, drainage, water and wastewater treatment, airports, tunnels, and gas pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage CAD documentation and collaborate with Project Engineers and Technicians.
• Attend on-site meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Management Systems.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate effectively with other team members.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-graduate experience.
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience in project management and preliminary civil design for renewable energy projects (preferred but not essential).
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to engage with external stakeholders, clients, and sub-contractors.
• Flexible, proactive, and a team player.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Full driver’s license required.
