Role Overview

They are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Civil CAD Technician to play a pivotal role in our civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD design for civil engineering projects and will be responsible for producing detailed drawings, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring design accuracy and quality. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed civil engineering drawings and layouts, including roads, drainage, utilities, and site development.
• Work closely with project engineers to interpret design concepts and create accurate technical drawings.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all drawings adhere to project requirements and standards.
• Perform quality checks on all CAD work, ensuring compliance with industry and project-specific standards.
• Manage and organize drawing files and CAD standards within project files.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of CAD processes and standards within the firm.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil CAD Technician, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant CAD software.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering design, especially in areas like infrastructure, drainage, and roadway design.
• Experience working on large-scale civil engineering projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, such as Irish or British Standards, is advantageous.
