 Project Manager (EIA Onshore and Solar)

An innovative consultancy specialising in renewable energy, committed to driving sustainable development through the delivery of renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on solar and onshore wind energy. Their team of experts works on a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and facilitating smooth project implementation.

Currently seeking a motivated and experienced EIA Consultant  to join our dynamic team, focusing on Onshore Renewable Energy and Solar Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the preparation and submission of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for onshore wind and solar energy projects.
  • Conduct environmental assessments, including landscape and visual impact, biodiversity, noise, hydrology, and socio-economic factors.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and local planning authorities to ensure smooth project development and compliance with environmental legislation.
  • Oversee and contribute to the scoping, research, and reporting for renewable energy projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Support the project development team in securing planning consents for onshore wind and solar projects.
  • Provide expert environmental advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits and monitoring where required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental consultancy, with a strong focus on EIAs for renewable energy projects.
  • Proven expertise in managing the environmental aspects of onshore wind and solar energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and planning processes in renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in using relevant EIA tools and software, such as GIS, for environmental mapping and analysis.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders including developers, local communities, and statutory bodies.
  • Understanding of climate policy and its implications on renewable energy projects.
  • A passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
