Principal Bridge Engineer

My client is one of Ireland’s leading engineering consultancy firms, is seeking a Principal Bridge Engineer to join their dynamic team in Dublin.

As a Principal Bridge Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile bridge projects across Ireland and internationally. You will lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, provide technical leadership, and contribute to the design, assessment, and maintenance of a wide range of bridge structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and assessment of complex bridge structures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on technical issues and professional development.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Develop innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Undertake the preparation and review of technical reports, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Support the growth of the company.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven experience in bridge design and project management, ideally with experience in leading teams.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant design codes, regulations, and software tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Strong technical problem-solving ability and a passion for engineering excellence.
